Dear Family and Friends,
One of the worst things a parent can hear is “your child has cancer.” When Mike and I heard those dreaded words in 2012, we had no idea that it would lead to the Sean Karl Foundation. SKF was established in 2016 with the goal of raising $1M and funding much-needed Ewing Sarcoma research. Sadly, Sean passed away, but…many have stepped up to honor him and help other families who have also heard those dreaded words. We are so proud of the collective effort of YOU and the many people who have supported SKF (Team Sean, SKF BOD, donors from around the world, family, volunteers) over the years. Thank you seems like an understatement, but…THANK YOU!
SKF has surpassed our goal of $1M and is beginning the process of investing in research. We will be advised by Dr. Grohar to determine the right project. We will keep you updated through our SKF newsletters.
Also, a big shout-out to our awesome sponsors, golfers and many volunteers who participated in our last Swing For Sean Golf Tournament. We had a BLAST and we are grateful to put another $60,000 toward research.
